Split is a pleasant 45 minute ferry journey from Supetar. You
can wander the old streets around the Diocletian's Palace (a UNESCO World
Heritage Site) or venture into the mountains for beautiful scenery and
walking. Not far from Split, and Inland from Omis and the Markaska Riviera,
is the Biokovo Nature Park and the Cetina river where you can go canoeing
and white water rafting. |

Not far from Split, and Inland from Omis and the Markaska Riviera,
is the Biokovo Nature Park. The Cetina river runs down to the coast
at OMIS and there are various canoeing and white water rafting activities
here. (These can be booked as an excursion from Sutivan). The UNESCO town
of old Trogir is also close to Split, and there are several boats and
coaches that will take you there. |
