Sutivan and Local Activities

Sutivan is a pleasant 10 minute stroll from the apartment. It is a typical Dalmatian fishing village with cobbled streets and old stone houses leading down to the harbour, where every morning fresh fish can be bought from the previous nights catch.

There are two small supermarkets, a bakery and a stall selling fresh fruit and vegetables. There is a post office, cash machine and tourist information centre. There are numerous bars and restaurants where visitors are made very welcome. Seafood is particularly good but kebabs are popular and pizzas are excellent.

Activities

Water sports available in Sutivan include scuba diving, windsurfing, canoeing and waterskiing. You can also hire banana boats, Jet skis and large tubes, or a small boat to explore the coast. Larger boat trips are available from the harbour including a trip to the historic town of Trogir (A UNESCO world heritage site). You can also arrange a white water rafting trip on the mainland.

See the website www.vankaregule.com for information about Sutivan, "Aldura Sports" and the Vanka regule festival.
